Jesus told a parable in the New Testament book of Luke, which addressed an all-too-familiar scenario in those first-century times. The parable in question is the “Good Samaritan.” Jesus’ words, though 2,000 years old, are still relevant today as we see the pain of a multi-generational struggle playing out here in the United States (and around the world).
