The Kingdom of God is built on principles of “otherness.” However, we live in a society that’s, well, let’s say, more focused on self. Would you agree? We as Christians can fool ourselves into thinking we’re closer to the former than the latter, but we are told in a great little book, Steps to Jesus, that “the warfare against self is the greatest battle that was ever fought.” This truth is sure for believers and unbelievers alike.
