As difficult as it is to believe, the holiday season is upon us again. With it comes the seasonal reminders of Thanksgiving, when we ponder our blessings and direct our gratitude toward our Savior and Creator. This is admittedly a bit easier during times when our church isn’t sitting burned out and vacant, when friends and family members aren’t fighting terminal diseases, and when there’s more “month” than money left after payday. And yet, spending concentrated time in a posture of thanksgiving is even more crucial during the difficult times of life. Why? Because despite our circumstances, God remains in control and on His throne!
We invite you to join us in expressing our gratitude to God for continuing to carry us during this season. We have much to be thankful for! Worship with your Spencerville Church family on Sabbath, November 30, as we participate in a special “Festival of Hymns” during our 11:30 service. Pastor Chad will share a message for the season, “A Harvest of Thanksgiving,” in both services.
