Socrates, the founder of western philosophy, stood trial for alleged atheism and for corrupting the young people of Athens. It was at this trial that he famously said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” Socrates believed that non-reflective people weren’t living because being reflective is an important part of what makes people human. However, Socrates’ brand of philosophy didn’t have a corner on this habit, as being reflective is also an important part of being Christian. We invite you to worship with us on Saturday, March 18, as Pastor Chad Stuart presents a communion homily about living an “examined life” in Jesus.
