Ripening: The True Peace of Jesus

Ripening: The True Peace of Jesus

This week, our sermon series will focus on the third characteristic of the fruit of the Spirit: Peace. Peace is the concluding characteristic of the fruit triad, which primarily focuses on the work God is doing in our hearts—love, joy, and peace. We’ll explore how this fruit of the Spirit is not directly tied to peace in our world, our homes, or our workplaces (though it certainly affects all those), but how, first and foremost, it’s about personal inner peace. Where does this inner peace come from, and how do we receive it? Join us for worship on Saturday, August 31, as Pastor Chad continues his sermon series “Ripening” by looking at the characteristics of peace.

Important Worship Service Information

Thank you for your prayers! We’re meeting in our new temporary home: the Lutheran Church of St. Andrew, just one mile south of the fire-damaged Spencerville Church building on New Hampshire Avenue.

For those joining us for worship in person, we’ve created a Worship Information page here on our website that will answer many of your questions about the worship services, Sabbath School classes, and other details related to church life during this transition.

Our email newsletter, this church website, and our social media pages will continue to be the primary sources of information relating to church life.

We continue to solicit your prayers and ask for your patience as we sort through many of the logistical details of worshiping as a displaced congregation.
