Ripening: Consistent and Complete

Ripening: Consistent and Complete

Last week, Pastor Chad began a new sermon series, “Ripening,” in which we’re looking at ways that God uses botanical growth as a metaphor for the work He wants to do in each of us. We opened the series by talking about the “Fruit of the Spirit” that motivates all others: love. This week, we continue our series with a word from the book of John (John 15:1-11), which tells us where we can find the source of our joy. Where is it, and to what (or Whom) is it attached? Find out during the second part of our sermon series. This week’s message is titled “Consistent and Complete.”

Important Worship Service Information

Thank you for your prayers as we made the difficult transition from worshiping in our own building to two weeks in the General Conference auditorium and, this week, to what we hope will be our permanent, temporary home: the Lutheran Church of St. Andrew, just one mile south of the fire-damaged Spencerville Church building on New Hampshire Avenue.

For those joining us for worship in person, we’ve created a Worship FAQ page here on our website that will answer many of your questions about the worship services, Sabbath School classes, and other details related to church life during this time of transition.

Our leadership team is working hard to return to producing a worship bulletin, though it may be digital-only for a few weeks until we have our printing workflow back up and running. Our email newsletter, this church website, and our social media pages will continue to be the primary sources of information relating to church life.

We continue to solicit your prayers and ask for your patience as we sort through many of the logistical details of worshiping as a displaced congregation.
