Little boys often dress up as soldiers and pretend they’re engaged in combat. Throughout history, many of these boys grew into men who donned war uniforms and were pressed into service on behalf of their country. We recognize and honor the courage it takes for men and women to serve a nation through military service. However, we also want to ensure that we press forward the principles of Jesus—to lay aside our war clothing and put on garments of peace. Join us this Saturday as Pastor Chad Stuart reminds us of Jesus’ eternal principles and how these principles, though not violent themselves, do not shrink from confronting violence. Our message this week is titled “Garments of Peace.”
