Behind the Table

There’s a saying in Christianity: “The ground is level at the foot of the cross.” It means that when it comes to Jesus’ sacrifice and His gift of salvation—it’s available to ALL, regardless of race, class, socio-economic group, etc. The equity of salvation for all humanity comes without needing a human intercessor—you don’t need a priest or pastor—you can go straight to God because of the gift of Jesus. This week, as Pastor Chad Stuart leads us in celebration of Jesus’ gift through the ordinance of communion, we’re reminded the ground isn’t only level at the foot of the cross. By extension, it’s also level at the communion table. Regardless of the week you’ve had or the mistakes you’ve made, you are welcomed, valued, and loved “Behind the Table.”
