When we talk about the church, we sometimes think it’s a building. In reality, the church is comprised of people. When a church erects a building, it’s usually out of necessity—to provide a place for people to gather and worship together. Spencerville Church gathers on Saturday, February 8, to celebrate a history of what God has done in, through, and for this community of faith. As part of our worship service, we will burn the mortgage for our school, Spencerville Adventist Academy. Through God’s blessings and the faithful generosity of our members, the debt we incurred to build our school is no more! Additionally, February 8 also marks the 40th anniversary of our first Sabbath in this building. We have much to be thankful for.
Join us live at 11:15 AM (ET) as we worship our Heavenly Father and celebrate His unmerited favor toward this community. May we ever strive to be faithful to the calling He has given us, “Go! Make disciples of all people everywhere, baptizing them in My name. Teach them to obey my commandments; and remember, I will be with you always, even to the end of time.” (Matthew 28:19-20)
