Saturday, October 5 at 4 p.m., organist Erik Wm. Suter will open our 2013 Evensong Concert Season with a virtuoso program of works by Marcel Dupré, Louis Vierne, Jehan Alain, César Franck, and Maurice Duruflé. A native of Chicago and an internationally acclaimed musician, Suter served as organist at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. for nearly 10 years. Suter maintains an active solo recital schedule. He has performed extensively in the United States, Canada, Japan, as well as several European countries. He has performed at national conventions of the American Guild of Organists and the Organ Historical Society. As a continuo artist, he has appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra and National Symphony Orchestra. He has been heard on the nationally syndicated Minnesota Public Radio show Pipedreams and has recorded for the JAV Recordings, Gothic, and Pro Organo labels.
