Evensong Concert: Felipe Garibaldi

Join us for our first classical guitar concert in several years! Spencerville Church is pleased to welcome guitarist Felipe Garibaldi to our Evensong Concert series on Saturday, October 12, 2019, at 4:00 PM. This is a free community event; all are welcome.

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, classical guitarist Felipe Garibaldi is an active performer, music researcher, and educator. His program on October 12 will include works for classical guitar by Mauro Giuliani, Agustin Barrios, Johann Sebastian Bach, and Heitor Villa-Lobos.

In 2012, Mr. Garibaldi received the Classical Music Interpreter Award at the 20th Programa Nascente, from the University of São Paulo, Brazil. In 2018 he was awarded both a grant and a Graduate Assistantship position from the Johns Hopkins University for his Doctoral studies in Classical Guitar Performance at the Peabody Conservatory, in the studio of reputed guitarist Julian Gray.
