This fall, Spencerville has partnered with several local charities, including our friends at the Lutheran Church of St. Andrew, to help provide food for families in our community.
Food Drive Sabbath Collection dates are: October 31, November 7, and November 14. As you do your regular shopping, consider picking up a few extra non-expired canned goods and other non-perishable food items to donate. Bring your items to church on one of the Sabbath Collection Dates.
Suggested canned and non-perishable Items:
- Soups and stews
- Vegetables and beans (black, pinto, chickpeas)
- Bags of rice
- Fruits (in canned juice)
- Tomatoes (diced, crushed, sauce, paste)
- Proteins (tuna, chicken, salmon)
- Chili and hearty meals
- Evaporated milk
- Pasta sauce (canned)
- Boxed pasta noodles
- Vegetables (canned)
Feed the hungry,
and help those in trouble.
