Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols – Dec 8, 2013

On December 8, at 4 o’clock, the Spencerville Church Sanctuary Choir, combined with the Columbia Collegiate Chorale of Washington Adventist University, under the direction of Dr. James Bingham, to present a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. Over the past two plus decades here at Spencerville, the service has evolved to include a large selection of carols for both choir and congregation, carefully chosen to complement the readings. This year, the Columbia Collegiate Chorale of Washington Adventist University, an excellent choral ensemble with performing and recording experience around the world, joined our own Sanctuary Chorale. Organist Mark Willey, and pianist Dr. Mark Di Pinto, provided the accompaniment and organ voluntaries to open and close the service.
